Nashville-style hot chicken · Columbus, OH

Fried hard. Glazed red. Pickles on top.

Chicken brined overnight, fried to order, brushed with a cayenne glaze we mix every morning, and served with our own pickles: tenders on white bread, sandwiches on a toasted bun. Four heat levels. One rule: the pickles stay.

four levels, same chicken

Pick your heat

Four levels

the pickles are there for a reason

1
Plain

Same brine, same fry, no glaze. The one for the kids and the one your dad orders.

crispy, no sweat

2
Mild

A light brush of the glaze. Warm, a little sweet, you'll still taste the chicken.

a tingle

3
Hot

The house level. Cayenne first, brown sugar second. Get the extra pickles.

you'll sweat, you'll be fine

4
Cluckin' Hot

Double glaze, ghost pepper in the mix. Ask for it by name and we'll ask you twice.

sweet tea is $3, just saying

The story

A trailer first. Then a counter.

We started as a trailer parked outside a Franklinton brewery, frying out of two baskets and running out by 8. Three summers of that bought the counter on W. Broad. Same recipe, more fryers, and finally a place to sit.

  • ✓Chicken brined overnight, fried when you order it
  • ✓The glaze is mixed every morning, cayenne first
  • ✓Pickles cut and brined in-house, never from a bucket
  • ✓White bread under every tender, because that's the rule

still run out some nights. sorry, not sorry.
